Manufacturing Engineer - Bessemer, AL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development and implementation of 5S program
• Continuous improvement through planning and leading kaizen events
• Support plant operations as necessary to ensure KPI's are met
• Capital expenditure project development and implementation
• Determining manufacturing equipment needs
• Conducting root cause and corrective action for manufacturing non-conformances
• Work instructions, standard work, and process flows

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1-3 Years Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering ·.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Experience in 5S implementation.
• Kaizen leadership experience.
• Fabrication and Assembly experience.
• Value stream mapping experience · Mechanical Assembly experience.
• Limited travel required for job, 10% or less.
• Occasionally requires lifting and exerting in other directions up to 75 pounds.
